FARMserver Updates: Post-Harvest Reporting

FARMserver Updates: Post-Harvest Reporting

As harvest comes to an end, having the ability to explore how certain fields, products, and practices performed are all great reasons for entering your data into FARMserver. Uploading your data is as easy as pulling it from your monitor, zipping the file, and uploading it to www.farmserver.com. If you have your account sent up to send data through a wireless integration, you will be able to jump right to the “Reports” section of FARMserver.

Depending on the data you have uploaded, an array of reports will be available. Here are a few examples:

Capturing Yield Data in FARMserver

Capturing Yield Data in FARMserver

Harvest season is here, and combines are in full swing! We know this is a busy time of year, and we pray you are finding positive yields across all your acres. Since yield data is what we use to evaluate management decisions over the year, we wanted to offer up a few reminders concerning yields in FARMserver.

Good data in means good data out, and we always encourage harvest monitor calibration for each crop at least once during the season. We also know moisture changes can affect calibration, so as a reminder, post-calibration at the field level is available in FARMserver! […]

FARMserver Updates: Scouting Tips and Reminders

FARMserver Updates: Scouting Tips and Reminders

At this point in the growing season, crops are out of the ground and growing well. Planting, fertilizer, and spray data has been downloaded from the monitors and uploaded to FARMserver for recordkeeping. The morning coffee routine involves watching the BAM weather video and checking the Growth Stage Summary on your FARMserver Dashboard. If you haven’t done so already, it’s time to update that FARMserver App and scout some fields!

FARMserver has dedicated scouting features in both the website and the iOS app. On the website, jump in the Field Focus view for any field in your account to add (+) […]

Early Season Scouting

Early Season Scouting

Planting (and some replanting) is complete, and it’s time to make some important in-season decisions for your crop! And because FARMserver stores all your planting data, you can now put that data to work. If you don’t have a planting monitor, you can manually add your planting date and relative maturity data for each field into your account.

Once you have your planting data into FARMserver, the new Crop Growth Model will track the progress of your crop, field by field! You will see what growth stage each of your fields is at based on planting date, maturity, and how many […]

Drone Success Tips

Drone Success Tips

As spring approaches many growers find themselves preparing equipment for a fast-paced planting season.  One piece of equipment that is often overlooked is their drone.  Nothing is more frustrating than to need data, drive to the field, open the case and find a drone that will not function.  Below are some tips for successful drone operation. That can mostly be done in your office or shop on a cold or rainy day.

Charge and check batteries

Check your case to make sure no one has “borrowed” needed tablet or phone cabling.
Make sure the operating system on your tablet or phone is […]

Our 2020 Field Shows were huge successes, and we want to thank every one of you who came to visit! FARMserver Updates: In-Season Scouting

FARMserver Updates: In-Season Scouting

In-season crop scouting is the proactive way of getting your questions at harvest time answered. Questions like, “why is this spot in the field yielding 20 bushels less?” Getting your boots-on-the-ground during the growing season is the best way to get these answers.

For instance, the scouting notes you take in the beginning of June might show sidewall compaction or anhydrous burn. Being able to log and keep track of these notes can be confusing and time-consuming, but FARMserver® is here to help! Instead of juggling notebooks, pens, and phones in the field or trying to find flags and stakes weeks […]
