New Feature Alert

New Feature Alert

New FARMserver feature alert!  We have a new 24-hour weather feature that will display regionalized data for rain totals, max hail size, and maximum wind gusts.  These annotations get more precise the further you zoom in on your Field Map.  This feature will allow you to prioritize scouting and field work based on moisture and wind events in the last 24 hours.  Located under the field names in the “Data Layers” pane, this feature is only available in the current calendar year.  When viewing the FARMserver website on your mobile device, the option will show up on the bottom side […]

FARMserver Updates: In-Season Scouting

FARMserver Updates: In-Season Scouting

In-season crop scouting is the proactive way of getting your questions at harvest time answered. Questions like, “why is this spot in the field yielding 20 bushels less?” Getting your boots-on-the-ground during the growing season is the best way to get these answers.

For instance, the scouting notes you take in the beginning of June might show sidewall compaction or anhydrous burn. Being able to log and keep track of these notes can be confusing and time-consuming, but FARMserver® is here to help! Instead of juggling notebooks, pens, and phones in the field or trying to find flags and stakes weeks […]

Measuring Early-Season Nitrogen

Measuring Early-Season Nitrogen

Digital technology is changing the face of agriculture, giving us more information at a faster pace and with greater precision than ever before. With advanced analytics and modeling, farmers use information to help them make more informed decisions. Increasing nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) has been, and continues to be, a high priority for many stakeholders. For farmers, any gain we can make in NUE provides environmental benefits as well as increased return on investment (ROI).

Pre-plant nitrogen (N) applications may be less stressful and more efficient in terms of balancing workload. Still, applying all of your N upfront is not the […]

Stand Counts and Spray Applications

Stand Counts and Spray Applications

As we move into the planting season, it is important to remember some of the key factors that limit yield. It is widely accepted that population is at the top of the list. It would stand to reason that without plants, there is not much you can do to preserve or create yield. Assessing population has been a challenging task considering the time constraints of spring. We can now use drones, models like the Phantom 4 or newer, to quickly and accurately assess the population of a field.

The process works by flying a drone at an altitude of 50 ft. […]

Turn Your Data into Dollars

Turn Your Data into Dollars

We’re always looking for ways to make things more efficient, profitable, and sustainable. One of the major challenges we face as farmers is making the decision to purchase a new technology for our planter, sprayer, or combine. Then, after our purchase, the challenge is in determining if it’s providing us with the advertised return on investment (ROI).

An innovative way Beck’s is helping farmers succeed is with the ROI Tool in FARMserver®. The ROI Tool is an easy-to-use system that helps determine profitability at the farm level with the capacity to dial down to an acre-by-acre analysis. It can identify and […]

New Seed Selection Tool Now Available

New Seed Selection Tool Now Available

The new and improved Seed Selection Tool in FARMserver® is one more way that Beck’s continues to help farmers succeed. Relaunched just in time for the 2020 seed purchasing season, this upgraded tool now comes with several new features for all operations, whether they have data uploaded or not.

Typically, when ordering seed, farmers first look at the hybrids that work best in their geography and then take a deeper look at each individual field to determine product placement. FARMserver mimics this process but takes it even further.

Using an eight-question filter, FARMserver helps users take a broad list of available products […]
