FARMserver Update: Harvest Reminders

Harvest has officially begun in some areas and is quickly approaching for the rest of us. Given the current commodity and input prices, utilizing accurate data in FARMserver will help you measure and analyze how your inputs benefit your operation.

One of the key pillars of data quality in FARMserver is the establishment of proper field boundaries within your account. This step ensures clean data, especially if you plan to use these boundaries to create variable rate prescriptions in FARMserver, providing you with reliable and accurate information for decision-making.

It’s also important to note that it’s never too late to start using the Crop Growth Model. Whether you’re uploading the data that was collected on the planting monitor or creating a field event on farmserver.com, adjusting your relative maturity can give you a clear idea of when your crop may be ready for harvest. This forward-thinking approach can help you plan your operations more effectively.

Once the combines begin to roll, you have different options for entering data into your account. Uploading data off the monitor via USB, transferring data into FARMserver through any of our integrated partners, or creating a field event for your harvest layer will allow you to put your data to use.

By uploading data from the yield monitor or bringing that data across from another platform through an integration, you can use the compare and query tools to create specific zones in your fields to determine if the practices you implemented this year resulted in any yield changes.

The compare tool allows you to view different map layers side by side and easily create different query zones. The query tool can help evaluate the yield and moisture differences in hybrid/variety splits, planting/application rate trials, product trials, etc.

You can also post-calibrate a yield map using a scale ticket weight or total dry bushels harvested on that field. This ensures you have the most accurate yield data to consider when making future decisions for your operation.

Please contact your local dealer, seed advisor, or FARMserver representative with any questions.

Happy Harvesting!
