We are excited to announce the release of another valuable update to FARMserver\u00ae, our precision farming software. The Return on Investment \u201cROI\u201d Calculator, users can now view average profit or loss per acre on their operation based on Purdue University\u2019s\u00a0Crop Cost and Return Guide<\/i>. Market Prices for both corn and soybeans are automatically updated every 15 minutes to match the Chicago Board of Trade prices.<\/p>\n

FARMserver subscribers can now view return on investment numbers as a percent of overall costs or as a cost per bushel analysis. Users can also update any of the calculator values with their own input costs and market prices. And while average yields are preloaded into the tool, users also have the option to change those numbers as well.<\/p>\n

Not only does the ROI Calculator display values for the entire operation, but users can also dive deeper into their data and edit their input costs and average yield at the field level as well. When uploading yield data into FARMserver, those yield averages will then replace the user-entered averages to make the ROI Calculator that much more accurate.<\/p>\n

For users who prefer to upload their yield data, a new layer is now available in the Field Focus view which allows customers to evaluate their harvest data in terms of ROI. This new \u201cProfitability Map\u201d uses the most recent numbers at the field level in the ROI Calculation and overlays it with each individual\u2019s actual yield data, creating a map highlight black areas (profitable) and red areas (not profitable). If harvest data needs to be post calibrated, that option is also available in Field Focus Timeline.\"\"<\/p>\n

Users who have shared accounts with their trusted advisors will have the option to grant permission to share the ROI Calculator if they wish. By default, this feature will only be available to internal users. If you would like to keep this information private, you will also have the option to share yield and report printing permissions without sharing the ROI data.<\/p>\n
